Who Are We
Serious Inquiries Only Equine was founded by long-time AQHA horse show competitor Laura Kathryn Gilmer. With Facebook making it difficult to sell horses in their marketplace, we felt there needed to be a site that specifically caters to the AQHA, APHA, NSBA, and the ApHC industry. We launched our site in June of 2019, and it has been a great success so far.
There are other equine sales sites out there, but frankly we felt we could do it better. Several sites have several breeds and are very broad in their scope. We also felt their needed to be a more user friendly and classier site to present higher end horses, horse show clothes, trailers, tack, etc. The mobile version of our site is easy to use and many users even prefer that over posting their items using their computer.
So far, we have gotten a very positive response from several customers about our site and we sold several ads last month. Clients took advantage of the special we are currently running where you can buy a feature ad for the price of a standard ad through the NSBA World Show.
So why should you advertise your horses with us?
First off-we grew up in this industry and have a vast array of contacts all over the world. We are familiar with breeding, horses, classes, trainers, riders, etc.
Secondly, our site is very classy and we are proud to present it to the public to use to buy and sell their horses and equine items. We want the best for the best. If you have the best horses in the industry then this site will present them in the manner in which they deserve.
Thirdly, we actively advertise our site through Facebook, Instagram, Twitter as well as market our site using email marketing campaigns.
Fourth – we have great customer service and will get back to you promptly if you need any help. If you need help uploading pictures, we will be glad to help. If you aren’t that tech savvy and would like us to post the ad for you, we will be more than glad to help.
Finally – We will be attending major shows like the Congress where we will be sharing some merchandise, talking to people about our site, and taking videos of horses that will be for sale at the show. They will be featured on our Facebook page and the video will be posted in their ad. We will be running a Congress Ad Special so sign up with our newsletter to stay informed.

About Me
Laura Kathryn Gilmer hails from Nashville, Tennessee and is a multi-carded judge, editor for GoHorseShow, and grew up showing in this industry starting in 1985. She was the youngest youth to win the AQHA All-Around at the age of 11 and also until last year, was the youngest to ever win the All Age Youth All-Around at the Congress in 1986. She went on to win it back-to-back in 1987 and then in 1990. In 1996, she was a member of the US Quarter Horse World Cup Team that went to Tamworth New South Wales Australia and brought home the championship. She showed up through the first year in college before she got her B.A. from The University of Southern California and her Master’s Degree also at USC. Laura has a 17 year-old son named Hunter and several foster dogs.
