Newbie is a 2018 chestnut gelding standing 15.2 hands, by The Lopin Machine and out of a RL Best Of Sudden mare with points in Showmanship, Western Pleasure, Horsemanship, Halter and Equitation.
He is an outstanding candidate for a Small Fry or walk-trot rider. Newbie has an exceptional jog, loves to go slow, and is quiet and uncomplicated enough for a beginner learning to ride. At the same time, he has the quality and ability to eventually move up with his rider into the lope classes.
At the 2025 All American Quarter Horse Congress, Newbie earned Top 10 finishes in Youth Walk-Trot and Youth Walk-Trot Horsemanship. He is also a true showmanship machine. In 13 & Under Showmanship, he finished 11th, missing the callbacks by just half a point.
