2013 APHA/PtHA Breeders Trust, all around gelding by the late By Appointment Only.

Whata Paint Job aka “Patch” whom is uniquely named because of his obsession with Sour Patch Kids.

Unfortunately, he’s not enough of a packer to be a viable option for the owner’s beginner granddaughter to ride. He is very good to show but requires a rider that can confidently support his body. He would be well suited for strong youth 14-18, NovAm or Am rider.

Patch has been shown in competitive open shows winning multiple all around high point and year end awards in his five year stint with current owner.

He has also been successfully shown in APHA breed shows. He has earned ROM’s in Nov Am Pleasure, Horsemanship, HUS, and Am Halter. Top 5 and multiple top 10 awards at 2020 Pinto World. Previous owner successes include 2016 World & Res champ, 2017 Res and top five placings.

Patch is a Showmanship machine, even with the granddaughter. He has done many leadline classes because of his gentle nature. He has a slow deep hock in the pleasure. With the right leader, he will excel in the horsemanship and the trail. He also has the presence and big stride for the English and Equitation. Has a green lead change, just not used enough to say finished.

He is just over 16H and is built like a tank. Extremely friendly and loves attention.

UTD on all vet care, only recommend normal maintenance. He is a quiet gentle horse. Stands like a statue for bathes, grooming, saddling, farrier etc.

Patch did have kissing spine surgery November of 2019 and went back to the show pen better than ever. Radiographs and vet records can be provided for serious parties. No special shoeing required. Patch is fit and show ready.
